Iberdrola Signs Its Largest Ever PPA with TVA
Iberdrola Renewables has signed its largest ever power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). TVA will purchase 300 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy from Iberdrola’s Streator Cayuga Ridge South Wind Power Project under construction near the villages of Odell and Emington, Illinois, south of Chicago.

CPV Renewable Energy & TVA Announce 165-MW Wind PPA
CPV Renewable Energy Company (CPV REC) has executed a 20-year power-purchase agreement with the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) for 165 megawatts (MW) of wind energy from its Cimarron wind energy project in Gray County, Kansas. The Cimarron project has already received local approvals and will complete permitting in 2010.

TVA to Purchase More Renewable Energy
The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) Board last week authorized the purchase of as much as 2,000 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy by 2011 as part of TVA’s plan to have 50 percent of its power supply from clean and renewable energy sources by 2020.
