So far in this series I’ve concentrated on trying to pick the best of the Alternative Energy and Climate Change Mutual Funds. This is a difficult task, because while I found in Part III that most of the funds’ performance has been better than comparable index ETFs, these mutual funds’ costs are quite high, even by the standards of most mutual funds, as I discussed in Part I.

SMA America Introduces 8,000 Watt Wind Inverter, Doubles Standard Warranty

SMA America, the U.S.-based subsidiary of SMA Solar Technology AG, has strengthened its North American wind inverter family with the new Windy Boy 8000US model. In conjunction with the debut of the new inverter, SMA has also doubled its standard warranty on its entire UL-listed line of Windy Boys.

Sacramento State University, in conjunction with the IEEE Sacramento Valley Section and the SMA Solar Academy, recently held an educational seminar for engineering students and business professionals on the university campus.
