OG&E Could Quadruple Wind Capacity by 2012
OG&E is seeking Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC) approval to build and operate a new 198-megawatt (MW) wind farm in northwestern Oklahoma. If approved, the company would achieve its goal of quadrupling the amount of wind power on its system by 2012. The new wind farm, named Crossroads, is expected to come online in the second half of 2011.

Regulators Approve OG&E Wind Contracts
Oklahoma Gas and Electric (OG&E) announced that the Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC) has issued two orders authorizing the company’s purchase of electricity from new wind farms currently being developed in northwestern Oklahoma.
