The U.S. economy has entered a recession. It appears to some as the first stage of a major depression. The band-aids and the massive bailout by the White House and Congress may prove to have insufficient effect. A major contributor to the downturn is the high price of oil and other energy resources. Fuel prices remain a huge burden for consumers.

The Brooklyn Energy Project is intended to provide constructive alternatives that offer hope of preventing the looming Global Warming apocalypse.

The Manhattan Project was the incubator for nuclear weapons – this is a path to what might be called The Brooklyn Energy Project, the other side of the bridge. The 18 month delay just announced by the Department of Energy, before it can implement the $25 Billion loan to the auto industry passed by Congress, is typical of the inherent inability for government programs to act swiftly. The Brooklyn Energy Project is open, decentralized, world-wide, and encourages the support of private, innovative, entrepreneurial development. It can move forward as rapidly as resources will allow.
