Phoenix Press Breaks Ground on CT’s First Commercial Wind Turbine

It was 11 months ago when brothers Brian and Kevin Driscoll, co-owners of New Haven, Conn.-based printing company, Phoenix Press announced that they would be constructing a massive 150-foot wind turbine on the banks of the Quinnipiac River. The turbine would be right outside of their historic brick facility, thus forever changing the landscape and skyline of the Elm City. The Driscoll brothers’ dreams are becoming a reality this month.

New Kimberly-Clark policy is a victory for Ancient Forests

Greenpeace and countless activists have asked Kimberly-Clark (K-C) to help save the Boreal forest since 2004, when the Kleercut campaign was launched. In a tremendous victory for ancient forests, including the Boreal, the company that makes popular brands like Kleenex, Scott, and Cottonelle has announced a new policy that places it among the industry leaders in sustainability, bringing the Kleercut campaign to a successful completion.

Several Greenpeace activists visited the Kimberly-Clark (KC) offices in Roswell, Georgia today to show the company’s officials that they can’t hide from the devastation they have wrought on the North American Boreal Forest.
