Patience for world leaders talking about tackling climate change wears thin. Just as US President Barack Obama addressed a crowd of thousands in Prague on Sunday, Greenpeace activists unveiled a banner urging him to “lead the change on climate”, a challenge Obama accepted in his speech.

EnergyMixx AG has signed a deal with the London Office of Deutsche Bank AG for the bank to be sole mandated lead manger to arrange and syndicate at least EUR 500 million [US $679.9 million] of non-recourse project finance senior debt for the company’s renewable energy projects in Italy.

Iberdrola S.A. has closed the friendly acquisition of U.S. utility Energy East Corporation, a transaction finally valued at EUR 3.22 billion [US $4.66 billion] in cash plus another EUR 2.87 [US $4.16 billion] billion in debt, a total of EUR 6.09 billion [US $8.82 billion].
