But the source of stress on a wind turbine is unique — constant exposure to the elements — and utility-scale wind farm operational history is still being written.

RMT Completes Construction of 400-MW Fowler Ridge Wind Farm

RMT’s WindConnect team recently completed the engineering and construction on the Fowler Ridge I Wind Farm, a 400-megawatt (MW) facility owned by BP Wind Energy and Dominion Resources Inc. The facility is located in Benton County, Indiana about 90 miles northwest of Indianapolis.

Tetra Tech Awarded US $69M In Wind Energy Contracts

Tetra Tech Inc. announced that it has been awarded two engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts and one balance of plant (BOP) construction contract for three different wind farms. In aggregate, the projects will be capable of generating 218.2 megawatts (MW) of energy. The combined value of the three awards is US $69 million.
