ABS Announces the Launch of a New Programme of Renewable Energy Reports in 2009
ABS has already established a successful series of 7 reports, each covering one renewable energy source and technology (hydro, wind, solar PV, solar thermal, biomass, geothermal, ocean), which provide a wealth of information and statistical detail about each segment. These energy sources are in widely varying phases of development. Some are still to be commercialised, like ocean energy conversion, others are now well established, such as hydro, wind and direct use of solar thermal heat. As these technologies progress through their cycle of development they are marked by successes and reverses, some unexpected, and ABS identifies these. These reports are continuing and expanding to embrace new developments.
